A hotel with a heated outdoor pool: the Pélican’s unique offering!

There almost no four-star hotels in Annecy just a stone’s throw from the old town. And none with an outdoor space offering this sort of atmosphere with a vast. From April to September heated outdoor pool, a pool bar open to guests and the public, and an area for playing pétanque. More than enough to a inspire an irresistible good mood and make the Pélican Hotel even more enticing during the summer. Here is a quick look at this prestigious establishment’s innovative concept.

A nod to the unforgettable symbol of Lake Annecy

Designer Hervé Lefillatre drew inspiration from the local Pont des Amours bridge when creating the access route to the pool and the relaxation space where guests can bask in the sun. The footbridge leading to the water is a wonderful representation of Annecy’s romantic side, which lends full weight to its nickname of “Little Venice in the French Alps.” Decorated with twisting arches, this creation fits perfectly into the poetic, contemporary ambience that begins in the hotel lobby, and which can be observed in all Groupe PVG establishments. The structure is like an extension of the Pélican Hotel, whose interior and exterior design is driven by the natural surrounding environment.

Games of pétanque in the shade of the great cedar tree

That’s right! There is more to life than modern activities such as Segway, electric scooters, stand-up paddleboard and yoga. In Annecy, there are also traditions that have been rooted in local life for generations. Pétanque is one such timeless example, and was here long before Saint-Tropez made it a tourist attraction on the Place des Lices. While in the shade of the ancient cedar tree in the Pélican Hotel gardens, test your mettle with friends and family. We lend you the equipment, of course, so you don’t have to pack the heavy balls in your car or your suitcase when you come to our mountains for a holiday!
