The holiday season is fast approaching and now is the time to book your Christmas vacation. In order to spend moments of conviviality in front of breathtaking nature while being close to downtown Annecy, Le Pélican is delighted to open its arms to you. The lake bird promises you festive moments of sharing and very Winter Wonderland...
Immerse yourself in the Christmas atmosphere
Ho, ho, ho! It could well be that Father Christmas is in cahoots with Le Pélican and that he visited him slightly in advance ... A bit of the North Pole slipped into the hotel at the beginning of December and a touch of fairyland comes on make it even prettier. From reindeer at the reception to Ô Bon Pain elves, from poinsettias to welcoming Ô Bon Bec snowflakes, it's definitely Christmas here!
This year, no conventional tree. The hotel has chosen an eco-designed solid wood tree that responds to the little name of Bornandin! Made from raw wood initially considered as waste, this tree is designed in Annecy itself and manufactured in Haute-Savoie by people with disabilities. Rendering? A timeless and unique design that we love. And all this is thanks to the local company Dahuts, which recycles unused pieces of wood into responsible and quality pieces.
To wait until Christmas, Le Pélican has thought of everything... As you go up to the Ô Bon Bec restaurant, you will come face to face with a giant Advent Calendar that contains many surprises. Photos of the staff in Christmas elves, eco tips and holiday activities are hidden behind the boxes. Speaking of boxes and other surprises, it's the @lepelicanhotel Instagram account that you have to visit throughout December to participate in the contests and have the chance to win gourmet prizes. Psst… we are being told straight from the North Pole that the PVG Group and Cristal Spa also have theirs HERE and HERE.
The final touch of this decoration is the illumination of the Lebanese cedar, emblem of Hotel Le Pélican and a century old. From the top of its 25 meters, this majestic tree is adorned with lights for the holidays and makes us want to hum "My beautiful cedar... king of the city, how I love your greenery". A technical feat made possible by Traits d´Emotions and LED lighting that uses less energy than compact fluorescent lamps. The cedar lighting goes out at 11 p.m. so as not to accentuate light pollution while allowing us to enjoy this majestic tree sufficiently. The place to be for a successful Christmas atmosphere photo! Do not hesitate to tag the @lepelicanhotel account and put the #pelicanmoments to be reposted!

Annecy puts on its clothes of light
The Hotel Le Pélican is not the only one to have received a visit from Father Christmas, in fact, the whole of the Venice of the Alps has put on its winter coat to offer you a festive program at will. After being canceled in 2020, the Christmas Market is back in better shape than ever with 150 wooden chalets and nearly 80 exhibitors, scattered over nine different sites. Catering areas and stalls of artisanal products in a magical atmosphere await you. The opportunity to make last minute purchases or simply take in the fresh air on a Sunday walk.
Christmas in the Alps also offers concerts, children's activities and illuminations throughout the city. The luminous works of art route is a night spectacle not to be missed: it will meet you from 26th November to 2nd January, from 5 p.m. to midnight in 5 emblematic buildings of the city. For the little ones, the village of Santa Claus takes place in Square des Martyrs de la Deportation and the ice rink in Place de l'Hotel de Ville, in Seynod. Not to mention the Hameau du Père Noël, 30 minutes from the Le Pélican hotel. In short, nothing to get bored and so many activities that make you want to spend the end of year celebrations in Annecy!
